Many of my landscapes are pathways, ponds, and fields that feel familiar to the viewer.....places they recognize or have visited.  Some are views waiting to be discovered.  Either way, they invite you to stop and relax, or wonder down the path and discover what is around the bend.

"Rainy Day on Lake Umbagog"  My fall trip to New England - It rained or was overcast everyday.  But fall in New England is inspirational even on cold, wet, overcast days.  I was standing at the lake edge, photographing the rock out-cropping reflections.  It started to rain at the far end of the lake and I watched as the drops of rain moved toward me, breaking up the crystal clear reflections.  A very memorable moment for me.   This painting is soft, muted, and peaceful.
